![]() All in all a good read with a mish-mash of pulp flavor and good-old comic book action.Looking for a way to Download Cadillacs & Dinosaurs for Windows 11/10/8/7 PC? You are in the correct place then. That's how cool Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is! And the illustrations are, in a word, fantastic! The artist evidently loves his dinosaurs and most of the panels are lushly detailed. Take a menagerie of well-drawn and well-researched dinosaurs, cool classic cars, two-fisted heroes, mysterious reptilian folk and dump them all amidst a world-changed by the apocalypse and fast forward to the future. ![]() Among his passions though are his restored cars with engines modified to run on dinosaur dung around the nearby deserts. Jack is keen on protecting people from dinosaurs and dinosaurs from people. Jack Tenrec, an "old blood mechanic", works to protect mankind against another earth-shaking catastrophe by working with the environment instead of against it.On his spare time, he restores classic cars, buried in the underground chambers of the City In the Sea - hence the title of the series. Mankind resettles in underground shelters and society is kept alive by the mechanics-cum-shamans working on the machines the survivors need to prosper again. In 2020, the Earth is shaken by upheavals and disaster. Then I had the chance to read a copy at a friend's house and I was hooked! What can I say, I like dinosaurs! I actually veered away from this title when I first saw it, thinking the premise ridiculous. It's not really a required reading book unless you're very, very much into comic art in a classic sense, but it's certainly a life changer for me because it raised the bar of what comics should have been shooting for in the first place. A scientist and a diplomat, she is the yang to Jack's yin, and together they manage to have adventures that are as mundane as political struggles and as esoteric as finding out what happened to a doomed research colony infested with what looks like animate human brains with eyestalks. Jack is paired with Hannah Dundee, a survivor from another distant underground sanctuary. Imagine their surprise after six hundred years of isolation to find a new moon circling the earth, and dinosaurs wandering the surface of Earth! He and his fellow inhabitants of the City in the Sea (a half-submerged, devastated New York) are the ancestors of the human race that managed to construct hidden underground sanctuaries before the worst could pass. Originally published in comic format as Tales from the Xenozoic or Xenozoic Tales, it chronicles the adventures of Jack Tenrec, an old blood mechanic and keeper of the mystic ways passed down to survivors of an ecological cataclysm by a strange, ancient species known as the Grith. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs pretty much mashes up post apocalyptic stories with fantastic traditional illustration to give you something new. Replace brave knights with old auto repairmen-cum-shamans, and swap out armies of enemy soldiers with terrifying thunder lizards - but use the same art style. This book takes you back to the kind of art Hal Foster does without all of the stuff that puts you to sleep in Prince Valliant. This is what Prince Valliant should have been. I really wanna dig into the rest of the issues as soon as I can. ![]() May be I am a bit biased due to my childhood nostalgia, but I will give this 5 out of 5 stars. Hannah Dundee is a specially delightful character because I kept wondering what new trouble she might get into next with her schemes. The unpredictable nature of each story was another aspect I loved, despite playing the video game a lot in my childhood, I was never sure in which direction the writer will take his story or how might the characters actually behave. The 'black and white' art might seem a bit odd to people generally reading colorful comics, but if anyone spends a bit of time getting accustomed to the style the rich details, masterful depiction of facial expressions and exquisitely drawn prehistoric animals will surely a sight to behold. The setup is almost too good to be true and Mark Schultz knows how to deliver short yet thought provoking stand alone tales, and short story arcs weaving a kind of mesmerising tapestry. A future earth with only a few traces of technology, some vintage cars, a veritable horde of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals and very interestingly fleshed out pair of main characters. ![]() The premise itself is very interesting for 'Xenozoic Tales'. I didn't know till a few years back that it was based on a critically acclaimed comic series, but boy am I glad that I finally decided to check this one out. The kids of my generation in my country (Bangladesh) grew up playing only a handful of arcade games and 'Cadillacs and Dinosaurs' were one of the crowd favourite.
